President Donald Trump signed legislation Wednesday that orders his administration to release its full files on Jeffrey Epstein, starting the clock for the Justice Department to release documents by the end of December—though it still remains to be seen how much the agency will actually make public.

* The legislation requires the DOJ to release its files on Epstein within 30 days of the bill becoming law, which happened as soon as Trump signed it on Wednesday.

Trump will stall and obfuscate every step of the way. In the first 30 days, they may release dome documents that involve Larry Summers. And they will claim the rest are part of ongoing investigations. Then the wrangling will begin, with every disputed point having to work its way up to the Supreme Court.

The good news is that the 2028 candidate can promist to release 100% of the files the first day in office.

And if Dems make this a big enough issue during the 2026 election cycle, maybe Republicans will panic enough to make Trump throw a couple of the fringe players under the bus.

4. Actually 30 days means by December 19 (Bill was signed November 19)

They were also adding 15 days onto that because the DOJ has 15 days following release of the files to release a summary of the redactions and info withheld, plus a list of every government official named in the files.
