Related: About this forumHitchhiking to Nashville With Titus (barefoot off-grid evangelist)
I'm an atheist, but found this story fascinating (after a couple of gummies).
Interesting video about a barefoot, straw hat-wearing preacher, hitchhiking from his hometown to Nashville, to spread his message.
Titus is off-the-grid and has no form of ID, which makes for interesting interactions with the authorities.
His traveling partner is a youtuber with some weird ideas about government creating division among the populace, but I look beyond that weirdness.
During the Kentucky leg of the trip the drivers who pick them up, tend to have the old " 'Murica is on the wrong track" idea, but it's an interesting peek into their mindset.

I get the feeling he is the person he presents himself as, so I hope this is not some BS youtube persona.

He just doesn't get to bully anyone else into giving him lip service or deciding what books are in a library or what women can wear, not that I've seen any evidence of his doing this.
(I've never been picked up by a tractor, worst ride was the back of a pickup truck with leaky plastic pails of chum in it)
ETA: Doesn't matter what burns in a house fire, the state will still have your birth certificate and the Feds know your SSN.
