Strongly recommend Snake Aversion Training... Google it for your area...

I put both my dogs through one that serves Colorado (Denver Gun Club--a hunting group that sponsors a team from Texas each June that runs it)--joined by several friends and their dogs. It is a fascinating experience with hundreds of dogs (majority hunting dogs, but lots of avid "hiking" and ranch dogs as well) attending--very excited. A milked rattlesnake and a bullsnake are used and dogs are tested to ignore both based on sight, sound, and smell, rather than sound (rattles) only, using an e-collar.

I've recommended it to many many friends/colleagues and all have successfully completed it.

From my last "session"
