I fell absolutely, totally, and completely in love with her when I was around six years old. Her voice was just transcendent. I listened for hours with my ear to the stereo speaker. She and Karen Carpenter were my first musical loves. If I still believed in Heaven, I would guess she had just taken a place of honor in the choir.

Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is one of those songs that you just never want to end. Roberta Flack must have sensed that, because her version clocks in at over six minutes. And I could listen to it forever...
