Why would I pay any attention to my future self?

Had to learn everything the hard way.

I realized I could graduate a year early by taking two summer school classes, one in English, the other in Social Studies. So I did just that.

I got a job and left home shortly after I turned 17. Always independent.

advice or love . I left my home at 17 to become a nun at a convent. Then I left after a year. I was the black sheep of my family not because of my behavior. But because I was resented.for being independent and smart.

When I was young, I was naive and socially inept. (I still am at times.) However, I eventually figured some things out and realized that , if you let them, some people will take advantage of you. After I woke up to this fact, I understood many things in life that I had missed before. It was a simple lesson, but it had to be learned by living life and putting the pieces together myself.

You have zero chance of success if you don’t even try- just because you were afraid of looking silly or that you might not succeed.
It took me nearly 40 years to overcome self doubt and insecurity. By then, many opportunities had passed. I’ve had a great life! But I’ll never know what might have been- it’s a question for all time, isn’t it? And one without answer!
