DU women, how can you bear to wear heels?

I wore heels once to a Rocky Horror party; I could not believe how painful it was! The question occurred to me after seeing Trump's horrible lifts.

Last time I wore them was 13+ years ago at my friend's wedding. Got blisters, Swore never again and haven't. Even my wedding shoes barely had any and I kicked them off for the reception.

In my youth I wore heels for work, but not especially high ones. They really are hell on your feet, ankles and back.

Trump's first response after being shot at, was ...'WHERE ARE MY SHOES!" The damn faker was in danger of being found out.

(P.S. - I cannot remember the last time I wore heels, but I'm sure it involved backpain and blisters.)

7. There was a time when I could run in heels. Now mostly flats. I do love platforms and lug soles though.

My feet are happiest in soft, ankle hugging house shoes.

11. I couldn't run far but I could run far enough. I have an old pair of Vans that are my go-to when going out on errands.

I stopped wearing high heels before they ruined my feet. Those growths/protrusions below/side of the big toe on some elderly women stopped me cold. Those were caused from constantly wearing high heels or so I was told by them.

although I only wore them for a dressy occasions which wasn’t very often. They certainly do cause much pain!!

I see Melania wearing those tall spike heels and I can’t understand how she can stand it. I thought I read somewhere that Dumpy had a rule that all women working in the White House had to wear a dress with heels but that could have been made up.

Heck, even a lot of non-high-heeled women's shoes are too uncomfortable for me. If my feet feel good, I can walk all day, with bad shoes, I can barely leave the house.

She says the secret to wearing high heels comfortably is to wear them every day, and to start with low heels.

14. My heels are part of my foot, so I really don't have a choice.

On a more serious note, I haven't worn heels in a long time. But I never had an issue with them. Fit is everything.

17. Haven't worn them since high school,

when one of the heels got caught in a sidewalk crack and ended up with a twisted ankle. Highest I wear now is an inch to maybe an inch and a half. High heels just looking freaking ugly and uncomfortable.

18. I got this weird blister on the ball of my feet after wearing 1 inch heels when I was 25.

It wasn't a water filled blister, it was something else. Anyway, that was the end for me.

I've got really bad feet: Neuromas, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, bouts of neuropathy.

So, it's been life of ugly shoes.

19. I used to work in an office where it was kind of expected.

It ended up that I had a drawer full of high heels at work, and wore athletic shoes while commuting. When I switched to IT I realized I would never have to wear them again, but I still had them.

At one point when I got a puppy he chewed up one high heel. So I gave him the matching one. Figured it was a sign to get rid of the rest.

I can't stand heels. I'm always afraid I'm going to fall!
