I certainly wouldn't have screamed my head off since the bear had exited the car. (Why did she leave the door open?) sinkingfeeling Mar 6 #4

I would not run away from a bear, black or brown. That is the worst action you can take. I would like to add if you live in bear country there are many different adjustments you must adhere to so a bear will not enter into your car, garage, shed etc.

1. Left the bear in the vehicle and strapped him/her in the seatbelt.

2. Bribe the bear to behave with an apple or two.

3. Taken the bear for a car ride while it was strapped into the seatbelt. Safety first!

4. Honked at unruly drivers.

5. Try to teach George (my new bear friend) to flip off unruly drivers.

6. Purchase a jar of honey for George for being so well (bee)haved!

7. Drop George off at a local Town Hall meeting.

The possibilities are endless with the right bear.
