(22,330 posts)I know you post quite a lot of fun little X videos, but some of us trying to avoid giving musk's company any unecessary revenue through viewing anything posted on his X platform.
Thanks.

(7,271 posts)Not "nothing"
The embedded widgets DU allows to be displayed here generate traffic which twitter, and Elon, benefits from.
Think. Again.
(22,330 posts)...as you know, embedded X videos "click" on automatically as soon as the DU post is opened. With a warning in the DU posting title, I will be able to avoid opening the post and avoid giving musk the automatic "click" revenue.

(7,271 posts)This is how I see twitter links...

It does not generate any traffic for the site.

(1,181 posts)Privacy Badger installs lightening fast and works like a charm! I'd never heard of it. Thanks, JoseBalow!
As to red dog 1.......................................He's the BEST. I come to DU Underground on many a disheartening evening and look for red dog 1 links to soothe my soul and restore my connection to animals, humor and human goodness.

Think. Again.
(22,330 posts)....after every posting title, and not even that when I'm not signed in.
I DO see a little blue triangle before a few posts, but I have no idea what that means.
Perhaps it's because I use my phone like so many others?

(56,203 posts)I set DU to desktop mode on my phone partly to keep it consistent with my desktop, so that is an option.
the little blue triangles just mean there have been 25 replies to the OP. I think that only happens on the "latest" page. and I believe it also kicks that thread to the top of the latest page at every next increment of 25 replies.
I'm still hoping for a clear musk warning on X clicks though. I really don't think DU viewers should be making money for musk, when we could send it to EarlG instead.

(72,387 posts)I want it to look the same whether on on my phone or my laptop.
There are a couple minor inconveniences in doing it that way, but I'm long ago used to it.
I see the same things as you describe on my phone.
