I'm writing a letter to my priest and it needs to sound professional?

Not sure if that is more professional, though.

(4,454 posts)Whats the correct phrase?
In case you hadnt guessed by now, the correct phrase is: for fucks sake.
Why? you ask. Because something can only be done for or on behalf of someone or somethings sake. In this case, were concerned with the sake of fuck so fuck becomes possessive and gains an apostrophe and an s. Depending on how youre wording the sentence, you may need to turn the sentences subject into a possessive noun.
Examples:
For the sake of argument or for arguments sake.
For the sake of Pete or for Petes sake.
For the sake of fuck or for fucks sake.
Hopefully, that clears things up and you can head out into the world with the confidence that youre finally saying things correctly for fucks sake.
