Where is the mud coming from? Yesterday

cars were covered with heavy dust from Columbus Ohio to at least where I live 130 miles east of Columbus. It is far worse than any pollen. Are there dust storms out west or what. To cover an area that big there has to be thousands of tons of the stuff.

Yesterday was quite windy, lots of dust. Much the same the previous two days. Today it's slightly warmer, still air, no dust.
