Talented young rock band from St. Louis: The Band Feel. Three of their songs, one recorded live + review of a live show

(Cross-post from Music Appreciation: https://www.democraticunderground.com/1034140702)

Heavily influenced by classic rock. They've toured in support of more established musicians also known for their classic rock sound.

I checked comments on their music, saw comparisons to the Black Crowes, Rival Sons, even Led Zeppelin.

Their new single, Hands In My Pocket, released three days ago. Found this thanks to a recommendation on Twitter:

Shoal Creek, live in Alton IL a few months ago. This video was where I saw the Zeppelin comparisons in the comments.

In The Garden, uploaded to YouTube last October.

Here's that review, of their show in Orlando last month, and there are a couple of short video clips.

Who is going to be the next great rock n roll band? That is a question I am always out searching the answer for while attending local shows. A friend told me about one such band that recently opened for Blackberry Smoke that hits the mark! The Band Feel has it all, the sound, the look, and the showmanship. It is as if they were right out of central casting from the movie Almost Famous.

The Band Feel is a combination of classic southern rock, blues, Led Zeppelin, and a splash of Black Crowes. They have the look of a 70s rock n roll band from Laurel Canyon and have the talent to carry the torch for those that came before them. Leading up to the show I had been playing songs of their self-titled EP released in 2024 and their live album they recorded at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Fl. This gave me a newfound respect for their lyrics and musicianship but did not prepare for what they would sound like in person.

-snip-

The powerful vocal range of Barcus carried the show belting out songs like, Find A Love and Hands in my Pocket and slowed it down for the more acoustic and melodic Poem 59 and cover of Joe Cocker’s With a Little Help from My Friends. It continued with some of the best drumming I have seen in person in a long time from TJ Steinwart and some SRV type solos from Tyler Armstrong. The highlight of the night for me was their song Goodbye Virginia which could be a hit song in any decade over the past 50 years. The night closed with a great rendition of In the Garden and left the crowd knowing that next time they come to town the venue and the crowd are going to be much bigger, but we can say we saw The Band Feel on their way to becoming the next great band
