Dog Shot His Owner After Paw Got Stuck in the Trigger but the Internet Points to Another Suspect

A Tennessee man told police his dog, Oreo, allegedly accidentally shot him in the thigh early Monday morning, but social media users have their own theories.

The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, was in bed with a woman when his dog accidentally got his paw trapped in the trigger guard and pulled the trigger, he told Memphis police.

The man was grazed by a bullet to his thigh and transferred to a nearby hospital in non-critical condition, FOX13 reported.

Police found one shell casing, but the gun was reportedly taken by the woman. However, social media users have their own theories, and many believe it was the woman who pulled the trigger.

"I'm gonna need to see a mugshot and some paw prints on the weapon before I believe this," an Instagram user wrote in response to post about the story on FOX13's official account.

that a dog shot its owner. This has has happened before, but I think it was a long gun in that case, and a hunting dog.
