That is verbatim copy from my online chart and I'm really hoping that the one on the right side doesn't get as bad as the left one did.
I posted this because I know there are nurses on this site that can give me some feedback.
They put me back on Lasix, this time 60mg per dose and I'm all peed out lol. Up to 3300 ccs discharged from my left one.
I've been on Verge of sleeping twice since 10am.and both times I was awakened within a few minutes. Please keep praying and or sending your fantastic vibes and I can't begin to express how grateful I am that I'm not going through this alone. Thank you DUers.
Love, John

(318 posts)I wish I knew what the overall diagnosis causing the lung problems is. Pneumonia? Fluid build-up from being unable to exercise? Common enough post-op to be my first guesses.
A small pneumothorax may resolve itself without intervention.
Atelectasis may mean nebulizer treatment to help loosen mucus, deep breathing exercises and an incentive spirometer to help with the deep breathing, and once you can get up, walking. Antibiotics may be prescribed if they aren't already. Hopefully the situation is mild enough on the right that surgical procedures and more tubes are not needed.
Of course I continue praying for you. Keep on keeping on, it's all treatable.
As for getting some sleep, I fear a hospital is a bad place to try to rest in.
Hope they keep the pain under control without getting you hooked on anything.
Yep, praying harder. You're fortunately a miracle heaped with more miracles, so I do expect you'll be out of the hospital sooner than later.

(2,017 posts)That's an awesome summary and I look forward to the best outcome in each situation. They also just got done with another echocardiogram. That's what's taken me so long to respond.
