Two more crowns today

I have to be at the dentist at high noon to have them done. The cost is astronomical.

The dentist I had been going to suddenly retired and I went elsewhere and I was found to need 10 cavities and two crowns. Seems he did not notice I have all of these cavities and needed the crowns done!

REASON: dementia

I got the 10 cavities taken care of and today the two crowns.

The cost of everything is literally finishing me off financially.

Even though I am now on Medi-Cal, I cannot find a dentist that takes it where I live so I am rather stuck.

I was lucky to find a dentist to take the insurance I have now which is Delta Dental, a dental insurance that few care to take any more as it does not pay enough.

The last time I went was to have my teeth cleaned and the hygienist wasn't into it at all because they only received $99 for cleaning my teeth. They are still getting over $6,000.00 for the rest of the work that has been and will be done today.

I really have for these people.

When is enough money enough for these people?

1. Do you live anywhere near a dental school?

Many dental schools offer supervised care done by their students at a significantly reduced cost.

3. I won't be able to afford to have my teeth done and live free from economic fear unless I have it done in Mexico.

It is obscene what they charge. And good luck getting it corrected if they screw it up or miss something.

I won't be having anything else done at this point in my life.

I never had this many problems in my life and all of a sudden

Its too bad the dentist that retired suddenly didn't notice all of these problems.

Its left me in one hell of a mess.

6. I needed two crowns done

by my fancy dentist so got a second opinion by my previous one. He found that I need the two crowns and also fix a cracked filling. The good thing is he gives a 5% discount to seniors and another 5% for those of us without insurance. Still VERY expensive.

8. My late husband had 7 teeth left when he died

He let his teeth go. He was afraid of dentists and in the end, just seven teeth were left.

It was ugly to look at and watching him eat was plain awful.

I swore I wouldn't let myself end up like this on my death bed.

So, this will hopefully be the end of it.

No one gives a discount around here. They all just want more more more!

Dental problems are awful. I have had my share lately but not like that. A crown came off and got the tooth extracted. Need another extraction in the future. Fortunately this oral surgeon seems to take my Medicaid insurance.

Good luck and best wishes. You could start a GoFundMe and I am sure DU would help.

I went to have these two crowns done and when I went to check-out, the cost went from abt. $350.00 to now what will be over $1K by the time they are done w/me.

I am so pissed about this!

I guess the dentist decided she needed to get in on the MAGA action too!

Steal from the poor, oh yeah!

What a disgrace!

I told them what I thought, I paid w/my credit card and got he fuck out of there.

I go back int abt. 2 weeks to get the permanent crowns and will have to pay another $500+++.

I won't be going back and I have a lot of doubt as to whether or not these were even necessary!

DAMN!
