I’ve got a container of heavy cream in the fridge. I was all set to mix myself a White Russian when I realized I’m out of Kahlua.

Damn.

So I mixed a vodka and tonic.

It does the job. (Which includes helping me forget what a shitty country we’re living in).

Anyway, I love you all, and I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend…

3. Beddgelert, Wales.

I visited it once around thirty years ago. Lovely little village. I’d like to set up shop in a little stone cottage, just me, Mrs. Aristus, and plenty of bookshelves. Days spent roaming the lush countryside. Nights spent at the pub, relaxing. Then home to read, and then to bed.

Have never been there in this life- but I believe I lived there in a previous incarnation ☺️. If countries were kindred spirits, Wales would be one of mine.

Most of my ancestry is Welsh in origin. I feel myself being drawn back…

Born in WV, with geography much like Wales (without proximity to the ocean, though), I ended up in an area of Pennsylvania with names like North Wales, Cumru Township, Tredyffrin Township, and Bryn Mawr. Fate!

We were near Beddegelert when we visited Snowdonia. In their honor, Iechyd da! Which is “cheers” in Welsh.
