The NYT mission statement is not to report news as they happen to occur. The mission statement of the NYT is to make both Left and Right, Democrats and Republicans, look equally good or equally bad, no matter what the facts actually point to.

You should not support the NYT financially until they put objectiveness over artificial "balanced reporting".

No matter what you say. I support Maggie Haberman and others. She’s been on TWiT before.

You've already made up your mind, right, so why are you asking? And Twit--you mean Twitter/X, owned by Musk? And Maggie--who did call Hillary Clinton a liar but not DT?

I am one of them.
Agree with prior post about bothsiderism, etc.
I do find the DU posts with gift links to the rare decent article to be useful. If you subscribe, I encourage you to do that.
And set a calendar reminder before your renewal date. They (at least used to) force you to telephone to cancel auto-renewal. If you call and say you are cancelling you will get a much better subscription rate offer for the next year, if you do renew. Credit cards that expire within the next year can also prevent autorenewal without you choosing to do so

I’ll subscribe then! I’m planning on doing it anyway no matter what. I think it’s better than WSJ.

You don't have to subscribe to access them, but I do donate a large part of what used to go to the NYT and WP.

I still plan on subbing to NYTimes mostly cause my new card will only support USA purchases instead of UK purchases.

because this is your choice.
But just so you know, the Guardian has a US edition and portal that takes $. So I don't think your credit card is likely to limit you.

I believe subscription fees would be much better spent on, say, the UK Guardian. Or perhaps a news aggregator site.

Love the New York Times. Great reporting. I especially love the Sunday edition for the book review section and the Arts & Leisure sections. Plus I play Spelling Bee every day and my wife does the crossword puzzle, Wordle & the Spelling Bee as well. Great paper in spite of all the haters here.
