While it wasn't AB related onetime in the very late 80's, very early 90's we in the NYC area had hazy skies for a couple of days from fires blowing smoke up from ?Tennessee, or Kentucky.

We had a faint smoky smell, but yours might be worse?

i looked a few times last night. Apparently blocked by magnetosphere. Will try again tonight!
