Saw him at the old Quiet Knight on Belmont Av. next to the L station. Oh yeah, in Chicago.

The Kingston Mines gig has a great story, but too long for this thread.
At Quiet Knight, our coffeehouse trio did a dorm gig at Northwestern. On the way home we decided to stop at QK because one of our guys knew the stage manager. (His sister's fiance)
He let's us in the back door, and we're talking backstage. I hear the act playing, but can't see them.
Now I didn't play guitar yet, (just piano) but I knew good. I asked our "host" how many guys are up there.
He said "Just one. A guy from Minnesota. " I went over to peak, and sure enough, it's just Leo.
I was fully impressed & went out to buy Ice Water the next day.
I listened to Peculiaroso a couple hundred times when on a plane.
