(7 posts)My friends, we are truly a beacon of hope during these dark times. As a party, we must come together to strongly stand up to Trump. There is greater strength in unity than division. As a grassroots movement of people of diversity, our commitment to Constitutional freedoms must not break.
There much that the Democratic Party must do to strengthen ourselves in the fight against Trump. When we improve our organization and practices, our party gains new members and better support. We will attract large numbers of Republicans who are turned off by Trump. The Gallup Poll, one of our most trusted sources of facts and statistics, offers sound advice for improving our resistance to Trump.
In summary, the Democratic Party must do the following:
1.Improve our organization and best practices
to increase public respect. This will engage
more members, particularly those who are
upset with the Republicans.
2. Use accurate statistics and information to
understand and improve weak areas.
3. Understand the areas party members want
us to improve.
4. Research public attitudes and beliefs on
current issues. Tailor our agenda and public
relations to solving these problems.
5. Offer realistic strategies and solutions to
problems in society.
6. Make sure we advertise and reach people in
ways that resonate with their hopes and
positive sentiments.
7. Do not harshly accuse others of bigotry and
discrimination. Instead, use realistic
examples of Constitutional and civil rights
violations.
8. Welcome Trump-opposing Independents,
Republicans and Conservatives by accepting
their views and contributions.
