YMMV, but it's terrible. Utterly terrible. Unbelievably terrible. So much worse than I thought it could be, and then even worse than that.
Somehow extremely rushed and hopelessly plodding at the same time, with pivotal moments of character re-worked to their great detriment, and a grotesque romantic subplot shoehorned into it, along with mommy/daddy issues that should've been left on the cutting room floor.
We don't even need to get into Gaiman's shitty baggage; he's entirely absent from the production. But I can't imagine who the target audience is. Fans of the comic will find that the show falls far, far short, and people who've never read the comic will be dragged through the mire with no payoff.

I barely cared about the protagonist in the first season. But everyone around him and the story he was traveling through were so very goddam interesting, and that carried the whole show forward.
This new season is a complete mess. The first episode, anyway. I may try another one, but jeezus that first one was a slog.
