Do you smart phone well?

Dozens of apps, never use one. Never enough space for more apps. Don't know if 1/2 of them login. Tried Signal and Telegram once. That was enough but now I need to use Instagram. Probably have to rip out Signal and other apps to make it fit.

Why do we need Google as well as Samsung browser? Oh right, Google makes the software, Samsung makes the phone but they need separate browser because ............................

I don't know how to use store coupons. I downloaded an app once, but now I think you're supposed to download the coupons before going to the store. Is that right?

When I bought this phone they told me it would be very important to my lifestyle. Everything would run off my phone. So far no cigar. I'm still on the PC, hardly use the phone. Weeks go by I might not turn it on.

1. Something like this might help

You could do with some basic terminology about the phone itself and its operating system before you start ripping out apps. For example, your phone is an Android and this has different and recommended choices for browsers. The browser has zero to do with the phone maker. Hope this helps.

Apps are a license for tracking. I always weigh the pros and cons. Don’t want to become too dependent on a phone

I've replaced the battery once, when it stopped going a few days without recharging.

I'd still be using my old 3G flip phone if it was still supported.

10. I use my smart phone for a number of purposes

I use it to text messages to others. It's convenient and I get faster responses from the people I text.

I check my email accounts so I don't miss anything important. Not that I get anything important but there are some things I need to answer immediately when I'm away from my computer or iPad.

I use a number of apps including ones for a dictionary, translator, calculator, stock market, weather, a local library app, Google Earth, Waze, Marine Traffic since I live on the coast and I want to see what kind of ships are just offshore. I have a couple of games like Candy Crush Saga which I play while waiting at an appointment. I even have an app named Flush that helps me find public restrooms.

One more advantage, I get texts asking me to confirm medical and dental appointments. All I have to do is reply with a "C" and hit send.

Apps are useful for a variety of purpose and if I have an app on my phone I have a use for it.

I use digital coupons all the time. I find it very easy, whether on my phone or at the store's coupon station.
There are some really good savings.
Monday I got a carton of whole Cremini mushrooms for 99 cents. The regular price is $3.29.

...the item is listed at the store for a price "with digital coupon".
I just open the app there at the store.
There is also a coupon kiosk at most stores so you can clip after you pick them, before you check out.
As to the phone, I use it WAY more than the laptop.
And, I have removed some Samsung apps with zero negative effect.

I don't use a data plan, so i need wifi to use an app.

Removal of Samsung apps is a real inside scoop!! Much appreciated!

I got on library internet access today, at 1/2 its rated speed, it is 20x faster than my Verizon home internet. Time to go satellite.

800Mbps direct wired. About 460Mbps WiFi laptop, 165Mbps on my phone.
Fast enough for us.
I still remember our dumb terminal in our lab office being connected by phone to a local university's mainframe at 180 baud!
So, 165 million is fine by me!
