It’s fantastic. Hints of David Lynch, Ridley Scott, and Kafka. The design, and especially the music, is excellent.

Lighthearted British procedural series set in Stratford-on-Avon where PIs Frank Hathaway, a rumpled ex-police detective, and hairstylist with eidetic memory Luella Shakespeare investigate crimes from a Tudor-era office, with the aid of their aspiring-actor assistant who likes to quote the other Shakespeare. It's simple-minded mystery fun with a lot of allusions to the Bard, including a local Police detective inspector named Marlowe.

It's about cold cases with a more personal point of view. I love it.

But I've been streaming a show called Leverage since the beginning of the new year.
It is five seasons, plus three seasons of Leverage Redemption reboot, and it is now my replacement for MSNBC as background TV noise lol
After dozens of repeats, I still learn new stuff from episodes, it's a wonderful show that basically revolves around a group of "bad guys" becoming good guys and conning bad people and companies to help the victims of those said people or companies.

It's set in Shanghai and it's about a mid 30-something no-nonsense career woman who finds herself being pursued by a much younger man. It's in Mandarin with English subtitles. The leads are charming and so is the male lead's unrequited love then maybe requited love later on and is fun to see. The female lead's fighting the attraction because she fears her mom's and society's reaction seems realistic. It's not too heavy and a fun watch.

Not only that, but it was the last ep of it's first season. 😑😑😑

At least it's returning in Oct.

A new character was just also just introduced at the end with a plot thread I'm not too thrilled about. Maybe it'll l be better than I expect. The rest is good
