Sunday is "Porchfest" in my hometown, Maplewood, N.J.

People have "donated" their porch, driveway or front lawn for musicians of all types. It looks like there are 30 venues in an area, 1 sq. mile. If you've ever been to a "First Night" celebration, imagine it as an end of summer, First Night, 'sept it is in the afternoon.

the purpose of this post, google Maplewood porchfest. Maybe you might want to have one in your town next year, or spring.

Then again, Maplewood is special. Google Maplewoodstock. That is our annual two day summer event that has been going on for 20 years.

Maplewoodstock and Porchfest are free but ya gotta bring your own chair.

When it's over, if you go to Park Wood Diner, One of my photo's is on the wall. It is the still life with the cheese and apple. (Not the one of the fish).
