A few weeks ago I fell and broke several ribs. I'm not supposed to lift anything heavy for several months. So no floor washing. Awwww too bad.

I just put it off as long as I can.

Hope you're on the mend and not hurting too bad.

10. I was hoping someone would volunteer to lift the bucket for me but all I heard was ideas for me to move the bucket

husband (who isn't able at all and I don't expect him to) said, fill the bucket in the walk-in shower and use a wheeled thing we put under plants to move it. I ignored him.
That was too much like work.

Ribs hurt just thinking about it. Maybe next week

2. IDK how long it's been since you bought a mop, but...

I bought a new mop last summer & they are greatly improved with the squeeze part on the handle, not down by the sponge. I also bought a square bucket & that too, is an improvement! It's been years since I've walked down an aisle that had those types of things. The laundry aisle at the grocery store is so strong smelling, my husband does that shopping.

I still don't use it as often as I should, though.

Around here, they last a long time

I had the sponge mop with the squeeze device over the sponge. The new one has the squeeze device on the handle. I might like it better.

He always did a good job on the floors.

We refinished the oak floor in the dining room and put a couple layers of stain and varnish on it. I used floor wax on it once, and it was so slick, I had to remove it. Pretty but dangerous. Orange Glo works pretty well without being slick.

12. I have a cleaning service which is often just one person. She brings her own supplies.

So I don't have to buy, replace, store a mop (altho I have one just for in between spills).

I also supply laundry detergent. But that's it.

I love the arrangement and I love the gal who runs it and cleans my house and washes our clothes.

We have her only twice a month and it's fine.

I'm still able to do the work, but I've never been much of a housekeeper. One of these days, I'll try to find a housekeeper, after the clutter is gone! lol

mine (down the street) in the p.m. They are even "matching" houses, both built in 1941 (just before the war) and in the same style. It couldn't be a happier arrangement!
