It's haircut day!!

I've been cutting my own hair since the pandemic. Just buzzing it to about a half inch long.

I recently decided to visit a barber again. Today will be my 3rd visit since I've stop doing it myself.

After having my hair so short for so long, I'm trying to grow it out again, and it's coming in nicely since I've been seeing this barber. he also does an AMAZING job on my beard.

I actually get excited on "haircut day". I had forgotten how absolutely pleasurable it is to have someone else fuss over your appearance, instead of doing it yourself and stressing because you are trying not to fuck it up. And then when you invariably fuck it up, you tell yourself "fuck it, who cares, it will grow back".

It's worth it to me. $32 for hair and beard (including tip) to have some guy make you look better while he talks shit to you for a half an hour. What could be better than that!

Life's simple pleasures.

I'm posting this here today because I've received several hundred PM's asking me when I'm getting my haircut.

Have a nice day.

... hard to find in a small town where one cut fits all and looks equally bad on everyone.

All relatively young guys.

My barber spent a considerable amount of time in prison for selling weed years ago. When he came out of prison, he went into a barbershop for a haircut, developed a rapport with the barber, and the barber asked him if he would like to learn to cut hair.

The barber trained him, and my barber eventually got his license and opened his business with other barbers working with him.

The guy is really good at what he does. He's wizard-like.

... it'd been for running hootch. Lord knows he must have learnt barbering in prison. All his customers look like got prison cuts. They look just like mugshots of burglars.

I was lucky, never got caught and always had an office job that never required pee test.
