Funeral for a friend today.

Then, spouse just came up and told me that my neighbor, who we are good friends with, just had a serious heart attack and is at grave risk.

WTF!!

Jesus Christ...enough!

for heart problems now.

One of the worst things about getting older is losing friends and family or seeing them having to battle serious health problems. I've never forgotten an older friend telling me decades ago that she and her husband had been through so many recent losses that she was afraid to answer the phone.

I spent months last year worrying about one close relative's health battle, which fortunately he won, then found out just this month that another close relative might have cancer again, after beating it ten years ago. A PET scan yesterday showed that mass was probably benign - though they'll want to do another PET scan in three months to check it - but revealed a suspicious mass in another area, so she'll get more tests and probably a biopsy Thursday. I didn't sleep last night...
