Good morning my DU family,

As the National Pastime heads into its full Summer display, I'm reminded of how much hope I have invested in my Minnesota Twins every year.

Each season represents a new opportunity for old stars to keep shining and for new ones to come out of nowhere or even with great fanfare.

Baseball is a microcosm of life itself in that there's plenty of success and failure built into each day, with occasional bad slumps or great runs making things interesting.

Like any team, our successes are dependent on how well we build our team. Life is certainly more livable with a good support system in place, i. e. A good bullpen and bench.

The very best we can do each day is to take the field and give our best efforts. We can scout out more difficult opponents to game plan for the harder days, with the knowledge that by the end of this season, we will have done our part.

Our goal is to win more than we lose, to get better as we go along, and to support our teammates in every way possible, and at the end of every day/game, to be able to say we did our best.

Have a winner of a day and weekend DU.
Love, John
