It has worked many times for me, but never this good.
I always ask at garage sales, got any old musical instruments laying around that you don't play anymore?
Bought a Gibson SG for a hundred bucks.

(36,145 posts)Looks to be intact. Can't go wrong.
I've found a lot of instruments asking that question.

(13,844 posts)And are the subjects identified?
safeinOhio
(36,145 posts)Ohio, many have names.

(13,844 posts)There are Facebook groups where people try to re-connect named photos with descendants. But once you put the image online, it becomes free to anyone, of course.

(36,145 posts)Glass negatives. 1905 to about 1915. I need to get my computer friend help with a Photoshop program to reverse the image for me. Some very cool subjects. Most likely never published, some might have a few value.

Vinca
(52,550 posts)on Saturday with so much good stuff I didn't know what to grab first. There was a huge blown glass vase that caught my eye because I thought I recognized the style as a particularly good glass blower. I searched for a signature and couldn't find one and since I have trouble selling unsigned glass I put it down. A little while later I decided to take a chance on it anyway and went back just in time to see a lady pick it up to buy. I also spotted the signature on the side. I waited and hoped she would put it down, but no such luck. She paid $5 for it. $5. The thing could be worth thousands. Flog, flog, flog. If I had know it would go so cheaply I would have picked it up the second I saw it. Oh, well. Got lots of good stuff, but that vase is going to haunt me for awhile.
