This reminds me of a bird book I had as a child, the illustrations were done by Roger Tory Peterson. This gorgeous little bird looks like it came from that book, really, it’s very good. Your attention to detail is just astounding.

10. Thanks! I used a photo from the internet. Live birds move too fast,

stuffed ones are creepy, and I'm not a good enough photographer to use my own photos.

... a beautiful piece! As soon as I figure how to post pix, I'll show a few of my own pieces. I'm an art director these days, so there's not a lot of time to paint just for the hell of it, but when I do, my preferred medium is watercolor, though I've worked in every medium except egg tempera; I'll leave that one to the Wyeth clan.
