(39,145 posts)The reflective puddle in the summer version makes an eye-catching focal point. I love the atmosphere in both. Very nicely done!

(51,493 posts)At first I took what you wrote literally and I was wondering how and why you were "painting your alley".

(1,417 posts)It must be nice to have artistic talent. I'm more on the stick figure end of the spectrum.
My favorite is the snowy one, but the reflection of the moon in the puddle in the summer one is really well done. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.

(157 posts)These are lovely and convey so much--I feel like I could walk down that alleyway and feel the cold air, hear the snow crunch, and sense the quietness of the wintry night while looking at that pinkish sky. I love the summer one too cause I can hear the crickets, smell the moisture in the air and imagine my excitement at being out at night with jocular friends or family walking down this alley toward some adventure or hi-jinks. Keep up the good work!

(128,309 posts)I can see now a few little things I have to fix but I appreciate your words of encouragement. I totally invented the puddle - it wasn't in the reference photo - so I'm pleased that addition seems to have been fairly successful.
