Oil or chalk? I’m fascinated by the way you capture the light and reflections in the water.

I have a box of oil pastels that my husband bought me that I should learn to use. I only broke into them a few times to do some blending samples and now they’re rather old. I hope they don’t go bad.

I live in Maine. Was up by the lake a few days ago. It was calm, sunny, and cool. This is what it looked like by the shore. Upside down mirror image in the water of the fall foliage trees.

Much, MUCH nicer than Bob Ross paintings. I've never seen a painting of his that is anywhere near as good as your painting.

It looks realistic yet impressionistic. If I may suggest one tiny thing, I would give the shadows a LITTLE more depth, just a little in the already shaded parts - and maybe that's just a thing with digitization and posting process so there's that.

It's very good the way it is.

Someone mentioned making a series out of the concept, I like that idea too.
