(19,998 posts)That's relatively new compared to the LP's they recorded to preserve history, or as RIAA says, "stole'.
But it's the same logic that one LLM company is so far successfully defending in that they bought the book they scanned. Long story. The Internet Archive lost a decision (appealling, I am sure) to Hatchette regarding loaning purchased copies of books in electronic form, like libraries, limited to purchased copies on hand.
Greed has no limits, it seems.
Time-Life puts performer info in the insert, which is not visible here.
Would be nice to know.
I use internet radio a lot. Favorites online, or via their apps are:
KUSC kusc.org, which programs bay area radio. App.
WQXR, many channels available. I like Operavore.
WBJC, Baltimore City College
WDAV, Davidson College
and there are others.
Cap Radio in Sacramento had a horrendous financial scandal and booted the Opera program after 25 years.
There's a repeater in Groveland, if you like good old FM radio waves. Barely makes it this far south.
Online and app as well.
At the Opera moved to live365, and I relay program announcements.

Nominally 5 pm on Saturdays for Tiki Lounge and 7 for the opera of the week.
Old shows are archived at capradio.org

Last show before it was booted was August 2023.
Should be high-quality recordings.
