Has this ever happened to you?

My dog ate my sewing pattern.

Well, not all of it, but she at the 'bodice front' and most of the 'bodice back.' I'd already cut out the skirt part so I didn't want to change patterns. Had to go back on eBay and buy the same one again -- ugh!! (Butterick 6483, "9 Sew Fast & Easy," not so fast or easy with a Shih-tzu lurking about.)

Oh, well. Last week, she chewed up one of Stinky's hearing aids and the Golden Retriever ate his steak when he left it unattended in the warmer drawer for a few seconds. Man they're a pain sometimes!

I got another one and it ate that one. My mother was furious because it was $75 to replace a lot of money those days. So my grandfather chipped in and I got a third one which I left in my dresser instead of on my nightstand table. I still have retainer 55 years later.

The Shih-tzu I had before this one ate my daughter's retainer and my night guard! (I now order night guards cheap, by Amazon mail order.)
