I hung around a lot of stadium parking lots back in the day listening to what I could not see.

We covered A LOT of their songs over the years. Might be as high as 15.

Tomorrow I'm going to post video of 3 of the songs I wrote.
I finally got around to learning Wondershare so I can convert DVD to MP4.
I just have to transfer them to YouTube.

(57,753 posts)This was the band you were in the longest?
ProfessorGAC
(73,945 posts)Based on the keyboard rig, this had to be '93 at the latest.
I bought my SQ2 in early '93. That 73 key rig went to the bottom, the DX7 went up, the ESQ got sold & replaced with a rackmount version. Other changes happened in '96 when I settled on my final setup.
So, this is from when we were together 5 or 6 years.

(5,894 posts)I thought I posted, but Im not good with sharing my pain or such stuff.
It happened. Im still here, somehow and Im freaking thankful to wake up and see the sunshine each day.
Now, I do my part in the good fight.

(57,753 posts)in every forum here back through March, and you didn't say anything about surviving two major heart attacks.
Though I wonder about this post you made in April, replying to debm55 when she asked DUers in the Lounge, "What's your favorite item to go with a cup of coffee?"

(5,894 posts)That as a week after surgery.
90% in one and 86% in another, I was the walking dead. Somehow I survived the heart attack.
I spent 30 minutes shouting as much of Do not go gentle into the good night as it could remember and to be honest it was mostly just my own version with that refrain stuck in.
The Ambulance drivers were more interested in my 90s Dodge Ram than they were me, but that was a ruse to get me focused on something else.
My apologies for not sharing sooner.
To be honest, I didnt think I would be here today back in April.
The event happened the day before my birthday.
My present this year was a wake up call.

(57,753 posts)so many advances in surgery and other medical treatments that there are many more near-miracles than there used to be.
No need to apologize. DUers, like everyone online, vary tremendously in terms of what they reveal about themselves. I was worried that I might've missed earlier threads about your heart attack and recovery.

Thank God you weren't farther from good medical care when it happened.

(5,894 posts)He told m his father would not have been able to do the surgery.
My life was saved by a young man half my age.
Now Im learning to fly again.

(57,753 posts)Love that song and video. Which for some reason has been posted only once in an OP here as far as I can tell using search (the Tom Petty song, which I also love, has been posted fairly often).

(9,512 posts)In 1980s, the University Theatre on University Avenue in Berkeley played Rocky Horror and Stop Making Sense on Fridays and Saturdays IIRC midnight. The crowd participation alone made for a good experience.
Saw Talking Heads play free show on Lower Sproul Plaza when a Cal undergrad in late 70s, then say them again that weekend at Keystone. Walking past the Harmon Gym, told David Byrne how to find the Lower Sproul Parking garage. Got lunch and a place to watch whatever band was going to play that Friday at noon. Voila. Learned about Talking Heads and went and bought their first album and went to the Keystone show that weekend.
Have not been in Berkeley since 2003.
