Critics are probably disappointed that the reunion hasn't blown apart yet, and the band sounds so good. But their fans are delighted, and at Wembley that will be a total of nearly half a million fans over 5 nights.
I'm happy about this, especially because this is a band getting attention, not a solo artist. And the emphasis is on the music, not dancing and/or costumes. Real music, not lip-syncing. (I'd been disappointed to see the Wings of Pegasus analysis on YouTube showing Taylor Swift lip-syncing during the Eras tour.)

Lets state the obvious first. This was always going to be a best of tour, filled with all of the music that fans have been dreaming of hearing live again for a decade-and-a-half now. The brothers performed their biggest hits and then some: Dont Look Back in Anger, Slide Away and, of course, Wonderwall, which was aptly introduced by Liam: Its that song again They closed with Champagne Supernova, the entire 90,000+ crowd still hanging on to every lyric after two straight hours of passionate dancing. The 90s visuals up on screen were every bit as nostalgic as youd hope: clips of the two, in their heyday, messing around at the height of their fame.
None of this came as a surprise, but the emotion palpable in that arena was nothing short of overwhelming. The atmosphere was contagious, and on some occasions the ground shook from the weight of a sea of standing fans bouncing up and down (especially during 1995s Roll With It). What was even more evident, however, was how meaningful this concert was to those in attendance. Couples kissed, strangers hugged and fist-bumped, men screamed like they were at a soccer match. Some were even crying. This was a homecoming for thousands of people even if a lot of alcohol was consumed.

The brothers were constantly exchanging jabs over the years, with Liam especially taking pleasure in calling Noel a potato and slamming his musical talent. Noel, on the other hand, famously told The Guardian not long ago: I liked my mum until she gave birth to Liam. So when the news broke that the pair had patched things up at least, long enough to go on tour a lot of people were surprised.
Yet, there was no trace of ill-feeling on stage Friday. Liam and Noel walked out hand-in-hand, after an opening montage played that poked fun at the years-spanning press coverage on Oasis. In the moments that Liam was being particularly cheeky such as, when he told the crowd to sort out their sulky faces his older brother could be seen giggling in response. Concerns over Liams vocals should also be overruled; Oasis are back to their best, and so obviously missed playing together.

The Gallaghers walking onstage, hand in hand - which they've done at other shows on this tour - and then Noel bowing down to Liam, which I hadn't seen reported at any earlier shows:
The last minutes of the show - and Noel's "Up the fucking Blues!" is for his and Liam's favorite football team, Manchester City, which they've sometimes been booed for praising on this tour.

(1,222 posts)you'll see that the sheer amount of WORK she does onstage is insane. The show is so long, she's so physically active, and her songs are SOOOOO lyrics heavy, I literally think it would be impossible to do the tour without that sort of assistance. Maybe if she did in only a few venues, with long breaks to recover her voice between them, but nobody could do a show of that scope in as many places in as short a time without the shows being a LOT shorter (without destroying their vocal chords). I'm normally annoyed by this sort of thing but if you watch the video (which I have, it was a pretty amazing show and the vibe was insane) you'll end up going "Yeah, I understand why she had to do that".
AFA Oasis goes I saw them on Be Here Now tour, as a package they were awesome! However, Liam is a pretty boring front-man, at least back in those days and gave off a bit of a cocky vibe like we were all just lucky he was there to grace us lol.
I've been meaning to check out some of the vids you've been posting cause I do love Oasis, will start now

(57,856 posts)give his voice a rest.
Taylor was giving her fans a nostalgic, hours-long spectacle. And they loved it. And a lot of them, probably most of them, believed she was singing live.
I haven't heard of any threat from her lawyers to sue Wings of Pegasus (a suit they would have lost, while creating negative publicity for her). I did see something about a threat to sue a newspaper, but I don't know what if anything became of that. So many solo artists putting on a spectacle for their fans do lip-sync that most people would just shrug it off.
He still just stands there, hands behind his back - if he's not holding a tambourine or maracas (or a beer, as he did at Glastonbury in 1994). And the same "cocky vibe like we were all just lucky he was there to grace us." He might leave the stage, or sit down, when Noel is singing or playing a guitar solo. Reportedly once asked, re Noel singing more songs, "What am I supposed to do? Make tea?"
Btw, there's video of him complaining about having to make his own tea:

"surprised"does not cover the half of it.

they'd make it to 1995 without breaking up.

(57,856 posts)Oasis Reunion Tour Is Only Getting Better: 7 Best Moments From Wembley Stadiums Opening Night
The Live '25 tour rolled into London and saw the group on red-hot form.
By Thomas Smith

Back in 2000 the Gallagher brothers swaggered Wembley Way for their maiden appearance but Liam was distinctly unimpressed. If you think Im over the moon to be here, then you must be trippin, he said on the second of their two-night stand, later calling it a st hole. This was prior to the stadiums renovation, and the band returned in 2009 on their final tour.
But that 2000 show dubbed one of their most disastrous shows still lives long in the memory. It was immortalised on the Familiar to Millions live LP and broadcast live on U.K. television. The show included instances of LG mouthing off about his divorce (I dont even have a fg teabag to my name) and whatever substances were rattling around the dressing room (Im in one of them moods, he warned). The performance itself was sloppy and languid compared to their previous highs at Maine Road and Knebworth in 1996.
A quarter of a century later, the vibes could not be more different. The bands Live 25 tour which has so far visited Cardiff and Manchester has seen them on red-hot form: Liams vocals are on top notch, Noel and the rest of the bands playing is as unified as its been for decades and, thus far, no dramas from the pair. Theyre sounding crisper and more energised as the tour rolls on, and the U.K. public are properly mad fer it, as they dominate the Albums Chart once more and the populus proudly sport Oasis-branded clobber.

The tours kick-off in Cardiff earlier this month (July 5) had an air of mystery and tightness, perhaps. Now the boys are feeling comfortable back on stage together, arriving on stage arm-in-arm again, and chatting with the audience just like old times. I seem to get myself in a lot of trouble these days, Liam said, perhaps referencing his quip about the Coldplay kiss cam scandal earlier this week. Before Dont Look Back in Anger Noel paid tribute to his favourite boozer The Chiltern Firehouse in London, which suffered a fire earlier this year, and dedicated the song to all the barmaids. We werent getting this level of chat on opening night.
