Flowers and ruins

We drove around Rhodes to see some of the antiquities that weren't covered on our tour. There had been recent rain so the flowers were out in force, some already posted. These are the plants in the ruins pictures.

The flowers are so beautiful all by themselves, but they also soften the ancient stones quite a lot.

The old and the very new! A combination that never grows old.

I remember the smells of the sunshine on the hills, the white walls of the houses, the bright colors - the Aegean sea and the blue/blue sky. And the wild flowers. Thank you, OC for refreshing some memories.

May our nation bloom again with hope after this era of "ruination nation " we are now experiencing."

I read elsewhere that the WH Rose garden is being bulldozed for a tennis court..unverified,however, but ruins and flowers surely come to mind.

Trump says the existing rose garden area is not easy for women in high heels to walk in
Well, a real "heel "ought to know about such thorny issues.

We hit 3 old castles on the south/west side that are largely away from the tourist trail.

We go to a city and just wander around. Some times seeing the sights or not.
No plans, just wander.
