(156,285 posts)That fact was on my mind when I took these. The whole eastern part of the country is suffering with the terrible storms.
I am really glad to be able to help the folks as they traverse this terrible scenario.

(8,114 posts)2nd pic focus on the sprig in dead center - how did you do that?
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,285 posts)How did I get that picture? It was not hard at all.
I spotted the eucalyptus branches and then I saw this little sprig standing up. It was ready-made to be the center of my photo. So I zoomed in a bit, keeping the sprig centered in my viewfinder, adjusted the exposure and took the photo. Easy.
I did a little post-processing to make it clearer and sharper but those moves were pretty easy as well.
Hope this answers your question!

(8,114 posts)You turned a mundane little sprig into a star attraction. Well done.

(156,285 posts)The market seemed unusually colorful today. The sun was out in full force. It was great!

(2,293 posts)Oh, how I envy you for your warm weather! It has been so bitterly cold here in southeast Michigan for the past month. I don't remember it ever being so frigid for so long before. It may well have happened before, but I don't remember it. Looks like the highs will be in the 30s next week and I am so looking forward to that!
Anyway, I digress. I just wanted to compliment your beautiful photos and thank you once again for posting them for us.
Best regards,
MIButterfly
P.S. Congratulations on your 21st DUversary!

(156,285 posts)I used to live in Illinois and of course we had snowy winters. But I was a little girl then and I can hardly remember it! It's great living in California, where it rains in the winter, down here by the beach.
We are very lucky!
I'm very happy that you enjoyed my photos. I had a lot of fun taking them.

I haven't been keeping up lately, still dealing with things I hauled here that I can now get out of here. Yesterday I bought a shredder, that will be the last of the 'stuff' in my living room and then I can start playing with things like the million pictures I took last year.
Always love your pictures, you've become quite adept with the macro thing! My favorite kind of pictures, next to all the rest!

(156,285 posts)I hear you about 'stuff'! I have lots of it too, and I'm nowhere near getting ready to chuck it!
As for the macro, I'm not using the official macro lens. All of these photos have been taken with my Olympus Pro lens 12-45mm. Right now the F stop is 4.5 which gives a very narrow DOF, making it look like a macro.

(100,841 posts)If it looks like macro, I'll call it that until corrected! They look great, you put effort into them, add you skill and you end up with great shots!
Thanks for sharing as you do!
