If looks could kill, they probably will

Peter Gabriel tune popped into my mind while capturing this Loggerhead shrike that got photo bombed by another. Terrible lighting, totally overcast, luckily they have almost no coloration. The Loggerhead is a native stone cold killer known for its carnivorous diet and impaling prey on thorns or barbed wire for easy consumption, earning it the nickname "butcherbird."

My girlfriend from time in graduate school had an ex who was a state trooper, and knew a lot about police procedures.She loved the show Cops,so we watched every Saturday night on Fox. Guilty pleasure with running commentary...
