Pima County deputy on paid leave over social media posts

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has issued a statement about social media posts made by a deputy following the assassination of Charlie Kirk last week.

Ramon Hernandez, a PCSD deputy, allegedly made several posts about Kirk’s death, as well as anti-Israel statements and calls for a revolution. In one post 13 News saw, he even called for President Donald Trump to be hanged.

In a video release on Monday, Sheriff Nanos said the department is aware of the posts and that the Secret Service is investigating.

“Our department has been made aware of social media postings by a deputy,” Nanos said. “We are very much concerned and have been notified by several citizens as well as the Secret Service.”
