School Board President Loredo Steps Up for Re-Election
Stephanie Loredo, president of the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Governing Board, announced her 2026 re‑election campaign. In the November 3, 2026 election Loredo is seeking a second term to continue delivering experienced leadership and fiscal stewardship across the district.
I believe in Californias promise of a high‑quality public education, where success for all students is fully realized through a culture of care in fully funded schools. When our scholars feel heard, safe, validated, and supported, they thriveand so does our city, said Stephanie Loredo. A nurturing school environment creates positive energy that extends far beyond the classroom. My priority is to strengthen CCUSDs financial foundation to preserve our exceptional school system while advancing sustainable, student‑centered progress.
CCUSD is among the many California school districts facing enormous challenges over the next few years as the state withholds public school funding. These actions have already resulted in reduction in staff and cuts to school programs. CCUSD will need to generate more revenue and carefully manage spending to prevent disruption to student achievement. Tasked with prioritizing fiscal allocations, CCUSD Governing Board leaders must possess knowledge of governance, financial management skills , an understanding of student and staff experience at all levels, and strong community relationships to guide the district to stable footing.
Stephanie Loredo is exactly the kind of experienced, values-driven leader our public institutions need right now. She understands that strong governance, fiscal responsibility, and deep partnership with our communities are the foundations to student success, said Los Angeles city elected leader Ysabel Jurado. Her commitment to equity and care for students and educators will make CCUSD stronger today and better prepared for the future.
