Richmond County approves polling changes, adds voting site for special election

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Board of Elections approved three polling place relocations that will impact more than 10,000 voters ahead of the May 19 primary election.

The changes affect voters currently assigned to St. Mark’s Methodist Church, Mann Mize Memorial Church and Oasis Church in Hephzibah.

Voters who normally cast ballots at St. Mark’s Methodist Church will now vote at National Hills Baptist Church.

The change consolidates precincts 702, 708, 703 and 709, creating a combined precinct of 5,772 registered voters, according to Board of Elections Executive Director Travis Doss.
