I'm finishing up my read of, "The Devil in the White City", by Erik Larson. I guess I haven't gotten to this part yet. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/the-man-who-wrote-the-pledge-of-allegiance-93907224/?no-ist&page=2 I recently watched/listened to, http://www.amazon.com/Expo-Magic-White-Gene-Wi…/…/B004S77WA2 to get a 'feel' for the Chicago World's Fair, and I wasn't disappointed.

Super book, super documentary.

the book was already on one of our bookshelves. I'd mentioned to my husband I wanted it, and that's when he let me know he already had a copy.

held near Northerly Island on Lake Michigan, not the 1893 World Columbian Exposition held in Jackson Park on the South Side (the subject of Devil in the White City).

It's an interesting book, though!
