Election 2025: Mayor Nelson reelected in Flossmoor
Mayor Michelle Nelson won a second term Tuesday, April 1, with 56% of the vote.
Nelson received 1,681 votes to challenger Joni Bradley-Scott’s 1,296 voters or 43.53%.
Bradley-Scott had a lively party at Bistro on Sterling Restaurant. The DJ got people up on their feet and dancing. Others offered words of encouragement to Bradley-Scott and gave her hugs.
“The people have spoken. Their will be done,” she said. “I believe we had a good cause. We were intentional in the messaging. It just wasn’t our time. I feel we ran a great race” and that the issues raised were matters of concern to residents.
