Early Voting Begins for Lincoln's May 6 General Election
Early voting has begun for Lincolns May 6th City General Election.
Lancaster County Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen announced on Monday his office has begun mailing early vote ballots for every voter who requested one through last Friday, April 18. Wiltgen says voters should receive their ballots by the end of this week.
Voters can check the status of their early vote ballot at votercheck.necvr.ne.gov. Early vote ballots must be returned to the Election Commission in the self-addressed envelope enclosed with their ballot by mail or by dropping them off at a secure drop box location:

Gere Branch Library, 2400 South 56th Street
Walt Branch Library, 6701 South 14th Street
By law, early vote ballot envelopes must be signed and received by the Election Commission by 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6th. Also starting today, Lincoln voters may pick up an early vote ballot or vote in-person for the May General Election at the Election Office.
