De Anza Motor Lodge open for business, iconic sign to be re-lit
A historic Route 66 motel that had fallen into disrepair has a new life. The De Anza Motor Lodge on Central has been revamped and is now open for business.
The sign has been around since the ’50s but it has been two decades since it has been turned on. That’s changing this weekend. The neon sign will be lit this Sunday. There will be a ceremony on the property at 5:30 p.m.
... the renovated property has 25 apartments available for rent, another 15 condos for a boutique hotel. The new apartments go for a $1,000 to $1,900 a month.
