Message to our SNAP customers: Durham Farmers Market
To our Durham Community —
a reminder about our SNAP & Cash Match Program: whether or not you have funds on your EBT card, you can still utilize our Cash Match program at the market.
Cash Match allows anyone who receives SNAP benefits, is a WIC client, or is a community member living in public housing, to double their money at the market. Participants can use a credit card, debit card, or cash to get their dollars matched.
As an example: swipe your debit card at the market info table for $20 and receive $40 in market tokens to spend at the market. There is no minimum or maximum amount that you can get — just whatever is most helpful to you.
Also, each week our food donation table collects over 100 pounds of food that is then donated to United Calvary Baptist Church and @durmcommunityfridges . This food comes from monetary donations given to the food donation table, as well as leftover products donated by our incredibly generous farmers and vendors.
While we understand that these programs have their limitations, we hope that they can provide some support and relief to our community during this time.
Finally, our friends at the @northdurhamfarmersmarket , @southdurhamfarmersmarket , and @theblackfarmersmarketnc offer the same program.

So glad there's still something going on in North Carolina that is fair and honorable since the republicans gerrymandered our purple state into nazi hell!!!
