Mark Jantzer announces intentions to run for Minot mayor in special election
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – A special election to determine who will be the next mayor of Minot has not been scheduled yet, but the race is already starting to take shape.
Minot City Council President Mark Jantzer told Your News Leader Thursday night he intends to run in the election.
The announcement comes after the city of Minot confirmed Wednesday it had received enough signatures from the public through a citizen-led petition to call for a special election.
Last week, Tom Ross resigned as mayor following an investigation into his conduct.
