DLCC Announces Slate of Targets in Ohio
WASHINGTON—Today, the DLCC announced our slate of 11 Target Races in the Ohio House as we aim to flip seats and break the GOP’s toxic supermajority that they have used to rubber-stamp Trump’s agenda. Democrats are just six seats away from breaking the Republican House supermajority that has been in power for over a decade, which would help Democrats block extreme GOP bills.
To seize this opportunity, the DLCC’s Target Races represent the most competitive and consequential contests across the state. The DLCC is working directly with the Ohio House Democratic Caucus and Target Race candidates to deliver support and resources for data, research, polling, paid communication, and direct voter contact. Democrats in Ohio recently announced their best candidate recruitment in several cycles, with candidates running in 97 out of 99 House districts. As Republican attacks on our democracy intensify, the DLCC has an ambitious Target Map to seize this historic, once-in-a-generation opportunity to shift the balance of power in state legislatures this November.
