Allegheny County election officials open Student Poll Worker Program ahead of May primary election

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — The Allegheny County Division of Elections announced Tuesday it is now accepting applications for the Student Poll Worker Program ahead of the May 2025 primary election.

"This program promotes civic awareness and educates high school students about the election process by allowing students to serve as Poll Workers on Election Day," a post by the county's official Facebook page stated.

Students can earn up to $170 or 16 hours of community service by serving as a worker on May 20, 2025.

Officials said the program offers paid training and the opportunity to develop teamwork skills while serving the community.
