Frankie Staropoli (R) wins Dorchester County Council District 6 special election
DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Wednesday morning the unofficial results for the Dorchester County Council Special Election for District 6 has been tallied.
Frankie Staropoli is the winner, receiving a little more than 69% of the overall vote. Tommy Feagin was deemed the second place finisher with just under 30% of the vote.
The Dorchester County Board of Elections will meet Thursday to officially certify the results and name Staropoli as the new representative for District 6.
This election was the Republican Primary, however with no Democratic challenger, Staropoli automatically takes the seat upon beating the other Republican challengers.
